1)Get over yourself to be creative, you have to accept your situation for what it is.You aren't alone even if some of your friends are still pretending that this economic downturn hasn't effected them personally.It has!So, let's just walk over to your bathroom mirror and have an intimate conversation with yourself.

Say to the mirror'damn it, i deserve a beautiful environment to live in and i will do my best to find the solutions to make it so!'.Now, look into your eyes and promise yourself to start with one room and not stop until you feel like a renewed person stepping into it.

2)Make a date with yourself yes, this new redecorating is going to require some scheduled dates with the new 'designer' in you.You have magazines to flip through at a local bookstore or online magazines to scavenger for inspirational photos.Pinterest is the hottest new thing where any dream photo can be found on virtual pin up boards.Houzz is another amazing site full of stunning photos.You can dream here first and then see what is really making the spaces feel like you.

3)Color your world there is no doubt that color is the biggest mood changer.Even if you do it for one wall.It's ok.

Continue this until you get so far that you realize what you don't really need the rest of the items in that room because it's not in your top 10 15 most loved possessions.

Cut to the chase, get to the love.The items that don't make the cut, go to the garage.

5)Pull up the garage door one persons treasure is another persons trash.Time to go on a treasure hunt inside our trash.I'm not telling you this will be easy, i'm telling you it will be worth it.
